Grand Avenue is the site of the Grand Avenue Festival, California's largest festival of art, theater, music, dance, and cuisine. Free performances are held throughout the day along Grand Avenue at Downtown LA's favorite cultural venues: the Walt Disney Concert Hall, REDCAT, the Ahmanson Theater, the Mark Taper Forum, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, MOCA, to name a few. The free performances are given by Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Opera, the Colburn School for the Performing Arts, the Center Theatre Group, local university theater groups, and local Downtown visual artists.
